American Community Partnerships
American Community Partnerships (ACP) is a national, 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization headquartered in Washington, DC and governed by a Board of Directors, comprised of industry leaders, union representatives, members of other nonprofit organizations and private sector companies.

ACP is dedicated to revitalizing, enriching and diversifying America’s workforce by serving as a program designer, partnership builder, and direct service provider in communities in need throughout the country. Specifically, ACP leverages local, national, union, and corporate resources in an effort to develop and expand long-term career opportunities, with living wages and benefits, to low-income individuals, welfare recipients and public housing residents.

ACP designs, coordinates and implements targeted, locally based, and community-oriented solutions to address the needs of the residents and redevelop the specific community in which it serves. For example, ACP works closely with organized labor, as well as other public and private partners, to encourage minority participation in its training and apprenticeship programs. In this way, ACP produces a trained workforce that is as diverse as the communities it serves.
